Memory Café: Wed, Oct 1 from 10:30-Noon at the North Bend Public Library. Memory Café Coos is held at the North Bend Public Library on the first Wednesday of every month from 10:30 AM to noon. It is designed both for people experiencing memory issues as well as their care partners. Care partners may include but are not limited to spouses, siblings, children, or friends. Memory Café Coos is staffed by qualified healthcare providers (LCSW), library staff, and volunteers.

The American Council of the Blind of Oregon, Southwest Chapter meets: The Southwest Chapter of the American Council of the Blind meets: Saturday at Venture Inn Restaurant at Inland Point Retirement Community, 2265 Inland Dr.  Lunch 11:30a, meeting noon. For more info please call 541-707-2226

Age Cafe: Third Friday of each month 10am-12pm at the Bandon Public Library. Lively conversations with fellow community members featuring discussion topics centered around aging well. For ages 19-99+.

Curry County Health & Wellness EXPO & Suicide Awareness Walk: This event will be held at the Port of Brookings-Harbor from 10am-2pm. You will be able to visit health and wellness booths, play games, get swag, eat some great food, and enjoy a family friendly event on the coast.

Teen Wellness Kits: Oct 3, all day at the Coos Bay Public Library. Teens will answer a themed prompt each month and will receive bags with items supporting teen health and wellness for that month according to said theme. (while supplies last - ages 12-18)

AAC 101 Workshop: On Wednesday, Sept 24 at 6pm, the North Bend Public Library is partnering with speech-language pathologist Coletta Manske, M.A., CCC-SLP, to host an educational event on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. AAC devices are tools that help individuals fully meet their communication needs when natural speech is difficult.
