PEARLS: Program Encouraging Active Rewarding Lives. PEARLS an evidence based program to educate older adults about depressions, develop skills needed for self-sufficiency and more active lives at the Coquille Public Library on Jan 24 and 31 at 10am.

Magic Beans: Free! Registration not required. Beans have the power to control blood sugars, lower cholesterol, feed your healthy microbiome and save money. Mon, Jan 13 from 12:30-1:30pm at Coquille SDA Fellowship Hall. Come at noon for a plant-based potluck and learn while you dine!

Memory Café Coos: First Wednesday of every month at 10:30am. Older adults living with memory loss & their care partners are invited to an informal social gathering where activities are not dependent on flawless memories. There is no cost to attend. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Care partners must accompany their loved one to the Café. During the Library's renovation, the Café will meet at Books by the Bay (1875 Sherman Ave).

Community Cooking With The CO-OP: Coos Bay Library has teamed up with Coos Head Food Co-op to provide safe, easy, and healthy recipes to create at home. Join us virtually on Zoom for this fun community event! https://bit.ly/3pXmapN

The Age Cafe: Third Friday of each month from 10am-noon at the Bandon Public Library. Lively conversations with fellow community members featuring discussion topics centered around aging well. For ages 19-99+. Next event, Jan 17.

Community Meal: Every Sat 11am-1pm at Harmony United Methodist Church.

Cookbook Club: Soups & Stews with Salads or Breads: Jan 18 from 12-1:30pm. Community potluck-style event at the Curry Public library! Pick a recipe based on the theme “Soups & Stews with Salads or Breads” and bring the dish and recipe to share with others. Make new friends, eat some excellent food, and chat with others about cooking and recipes. This event is free and open to the public. All level of cooks are welcome.

Pathways to Prevention: Staying Ahead of Diabetes: Jan 22 from 5:30-6:30pm at the Roseburg Public Library. This seminar will highlight actionable strategies for diabetes prevention, with a focus on staying proactive and engaging in healthy practices.
