Experience the joy of delightful social dancing to great live music at the North Bayside Grange on Saturday evening, February 22nd. All dancers are welcome at the Bay Area Contra Dance starting at 6:00pm. This special event is sponsored by the South Coast  Folk Society. Join us for a light-hearted community gathering appropriate for teens and adults. There will be live music all evening, plus dance instruction and calling. This event is free, and open to everyone from age 12 up. New dancers are always welcome. No prior experience or partner is required at this alcohol- and fragrance- free event.

Contra Dancing is joyful and easy to learn, like an old-time hoe-down. It’s a delightful way to move and socialize to invigorating music. Come swing your partner and do-si-do to the foot-stomping music of the Session Band. Caller Lorie Bunyard will provide a lesson for new dancers at 6:00pm, and expert calling all evening. Wear casual clothes and comfortable shoes. Please join us on the dance floor, or relax and enjoy fine music.
